SHILLONG: Forest officials from Simsanggre Forest Range in East Garo Hills spotted an abandoned truck loaded with timber at Chiading (EGH) at around 1 pm on March 15. However, due to non availability of recovery van, the timber could not be removed immediately.
The following day the truck along with the timber was found missing from the spot.
In another incident, on March 11, forest officials from Simsanggre Forest Range detected one truck (without number plate) loaded with timber at Samanda.
