SHILLONG: The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) youth wing Shillong has slammed the State Government’s ministers for their alleged frequent transferring of officials claiming that the said officials failed to satisfy the corrupt ministers.
In a statement to the media, the Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) said that the ministers are self-seeking ministers who aggrandize greed at the expense of the welfare of the people in the state by citing that they are blind to the development pertaining to the traditional institutions of the state and other issues that has affected the state as a whole.
On the other hand, they criticized the Government for its claim of financial stability in the current scenario and questioned it on the reason behind the delay in payment of the Contractors’ Bill which has led to the dilapidated road condition. Moreover, the Government lingered in releasing the salaries of the Mawmluh Cherra Cement Limited (MCCL).
Failure to handle the issues has revealed the weakness of the Government; the youth wing of the regional political party said and has called upon the Government to discontinue the system of transferring officials at their whims and fancies.
