Smriti Irani to grace NEHU convocation

SHILLONG: Union Human Resources Development Minister Smriti Irani will attend the  XXIIIrd Convocation of  NEHU  scheduled for March 29.
In a statement issued to the media, NEHU said that the Minister will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest and will deliver the Convocation address at the Convocation Hall, NEHU, Permanent campus.
A total of 10291 students will receive their degrees (2,567 in person,  7724 in absentia) on that day. Honorary Degrees will be conferred to educator and reformist,  Rose Millian Bathew (Kharbuli), and Olympic bronze medalist M.C. Mary Kom for their invaluable contribution in their respective fields.
