Accused in judicial custody

SHILLONG: A city court on Thursday remanded the prime accused in rape and murder of 19-year-old Shailinia Kharrymba, Vicky Syiemlieh, to judicial custody.
Vicky’s five-day police custody ended on Tuesday.
The incident took place at 4½ Mile, Upper Shillong  on Thursday night. The next day, mother of Vicky handed over him to police. The body of the girl, with alleged sexual and physical assault marks, was recovered from a jungle at  Upper Shillong, on Thursday night after she went missing on the same day.
