SHILLONG: The State unit of the BJP on Thursday condemned the brutal rape and murder of a 19-year-old girl whose body was recovered from Upper Shillong on the night of March 17. Expressing concern over the incident, the BJP demanded speedy justice in the case.
Meanwhile, the Ri-Bhoi People United Organisation also condemned the criminal act and conveyed its condolence to the members of the bereaved family. The organization urged the State Government and the Police to take stringent measures to punish the culprits.
