Rally for Garoland

TURA: The movement for separate Garoland, to be carved out of Meghalaya is set to take new height on June 30 at Tikrikilla in West Garo Hills.
The rally is being spearheaded by Garo Hills State Movement Committee (GHSMC), which has been pursuing the cause for the past three years.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, assistant General Secretary of the GHSMC Pamosh Ch. Sangma said, “The movement for inclusive Garoland will continue, unless and until it is achieved. We will continue to demand for Garoland, which is our birthright”.
The statement also said that the rally is aimed to create awareness amongst people, village chiefs, youths, officers and all communities that Garoland is in the best interest and welfare of the region.
