SHILLONG: The Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJP Youth Wing) will organise a public meeting on March 30 at Jingkieng, Nongthymmai to reiterate its demand for provision of urea fertilizers to the State farmers.
Egenstar Kurkalang, president, BJYM said that the meeting will be held at 10 am and urged the farmers to participate to address the situation.
This came after the State Government expressed its intention to imbibe organic farming in the agricultural sector which was resisted by a section of farmers who alleged that the Government had failed to provide fertilizers to farmers dependent on agriculture for their livelihood.
