Candle light vigil at Laban

SHILLONG: The UDP, Laban unit will organize a candlelight vigil at Laban on Monday at 4 pm to show solidarity with the rape and murder victim 19-year-old Shailinia Kharrymba.
Meanwhile, the Synjuk Ki Nongsynshar Shnong Ka Bri U Hynniewtrep (Ri Khasi & Jaintia) has also condemned the barbaric act. The organization also conveyed condolences to the bereaved family. The Synjuk also urged traditional heads in respective villages, localities to be more vigilant.
