Subsidy in electricity bills in next financial year also

New Delhi:  Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Manish Sisodia today announced that the AAP government would continue to give 50 per cent subsidy scheme on electricity bills in the next financial year as well.
Presenting the Budget in the Assembly here, Sisodia said that government has proposed to allocate Rs 16,00 crore for power subsidy. In the last Budget, the Arvind Kejriwal government had also made a provision of 50 per cent subsidy on electricity bills.
As per the scheme, all the consumers whose monthly power consumption do not exceed 400 units will get 50 per cent subsidy in tariff and the scheme will benefit around 36 lakh or 90 per cent of the consumers. (PTI)
