Ashoka Chakra nomination

Shillong: The Government of India will announce the Ashoka Chakra Series of Gallantry Awards to be given in three categories–Ashoka Chakra for most conspicuous bravery or some act of daring or pre-eminent valour of self-sacrifice, Kirti Chakra for conspicuous gallantry and Shaurya Chakra for gallantry. The award will be announced on Independence Day, 2016. Persons from all walks of life are eligible for the awards and the East Khasi Hills DC has informed that intending individuals who desire their names to be recommended for the Award can send their nominations to his office on or before April 15.
