Run up to final of Super Division League on Friday Like every year, this year too, the Super Division of the LG Shillong Cricket League was played among the top 10 teams of the city along with newly promoted teams i.e. MLP and Royal CC. MLP rose from strength to strength as they qualified to the Super Six with all wins and one abandoned match against Keating Road CC.On the other hand, TnT Sputnik road to the finals was smooth defeating all except United XI in the league stage. It is fitting to say that the two most deserving teams in the league has made it to the finals with teams like NFU and Lawmali being big disappointments. So come Friday, we will have the “underdogs” (MLP) pitted against the “pretenders to the throne” (TNT Sputnik) vying for the most prestigious prize in Shillong Cricket League, so at day’s end we will have a newly crowned champion of the Super division League season 2015-16.
