WKH villages conferred Nirmal Gram Puraskar

NONGSTOIN: It was a proud moment for West & South West Khasi Hills Districts when Deputy Chief Minister Rowell Lyngdoh recently presented the Nirmal Gram Puraskar (NGP) to 17 villages of the district for an open defecation-free environment. The awarde were handed over to the respective headmen.
The award was presented in a separate function held at Nongkhnum recently. The awardees both from West & South West Khasi Hills include 7 from Mairang Block, 9 from Mawkyrwat Block and 1 from Mawshynrut Block.
