Notice to taxi drivers
The District Transport Officer and Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, West Jaintia Hills, has informed all taxi owners and drivers that all documents of the vehicle should be updated within April 30. All vehicles with proper documents will be provided a ‘pink sticker’ to be pasted on the windshield of the vehicle.
Lok Adalat
The District Legal Services Authority, West Khasi Hills, Nongstoin will be holding the National Lok Adalat on April 9 from 10 AM to 5 PM in the Office of the District and Session Judge, Nongstoin for settlement of pending labour, family disputes.
Orientation
With an aim to motivate and guide the youths of the District desiring to apply for army and police jobs, the office of the Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills, recently organised an orientation programme at the District Library Auditorium, Jowai. Around 300 youths participated in the programme.
