3 trucks detained for order violation

SHILLONG: Three trucks bearing registration no.AS01-D-1091 driven by Treilang Basaiawmoit (24), ML04B-9369 driven by Kitbok Marbaniang (27) and ML05H-3457 driven by Shiningstar Lyngkhoi (29) were detained by Mawsynram police recently for violating the order of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills, banning the plying of trucks carrying beyond the permissible limit on the Balat – Mawsynram route due to the weak bridge at Mawnuih.
All the three drivers were arrested and the trucks were seized.
