Homeopathy Day
Ayush Department (Homeopathic Branch) will celebrate the World Homeopathy Day on April 9 at 10:30 AM at the conference hall of Shillong Civil Hospital, where the chief guest will be Addl. Chief Secretary in charge of Health, Y. Tsering.
MoU signed
A MoU of cooperation was signed between Gauhati University (GU) and the University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) on Thursday. The MoU was signed by Dr. Mridul Hazarika, Vice-Chancellor, Gauhati University and Mahbubul Hoque, Chancellor, USTM.
Workshop
SPARK is organizing a two-day workshop to sensitize teachers, community leaders and youths on ‘Crime against women and children: Their roles and responsibilities in preventing it’ at Pongkung, Traishnong and Mawlynrei villages on Friday. The programme is supported by the government under Chief Minister’s Youth Development Fund through the office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills district.
Competitions
The William Carey University and William Carey College, Umsning will organise an inter-church music competition and inter-school competitions in Elocution, Quiz, Essay and Painting on the theme ‘Water Management in Meghalaya’ from April 14- 16 at Umsning, Ri Bhoi. Local MLA Celestine Lyngdoh will attend the inaugural function as chief guest.
