Govt’s health centre privatisation bid receives support

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Indigenous Youth Federation (MIYF) has welcomed the government’s move to privatize the health centres in the State.
MIYF War Jaintia Circle, Amlarem in a statement released here urged the Health department to ignore the opposition to the proposal made by those with “vested interests”.
The federation asserted that privatization of health centers will be a revolutionary step in terms of infrastructure development and access to quality health care.
