SHILLONG: One person was drowned in Umiam river on Tuesday.Police informed that Baneshkam Mukhim of Mawpat had gone for swimming and fishing in Umiam along with his friends when he drowned.
Police have ruled out any foul play into the incident and added that post mortem will be conducted on Wednesday.
