U-19 Inter School Cricket Tournament

Shillong: B.K Bajoria defeated R.B Anupchand by 4 runs  in the Under – 19 Inter School Cricket Tournament organised by the Shillong Cricket Association at the SCA Cricket Ground, Polo on Thursday.
Bajoria won the toss and chose to bat. they scored 87 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 15 overs. Siddharta Singh and Gyandeep Kachari scored 16 and 15 runs respectively. For Anupchand, Naved picked up two wickets while Bipin Rai took two wickets.
In reply, R.B. Anupchand could only scored 83 runs for seven wickets in 15 overs. Kamal Sharma unbeaten 37 runs of 37 balls while Sandeep Rai contributed 14 runs of 14 balls. For Bajoria, Kiran Biswa claimed 4 wickets while Nitesh Yadav took one wicket.
Second Match:
St. Nanak win over Army Public School by 8 runs. Opted to bat, Nanak scored 130 runs for eight wickets in 15 overs. Aman Barbose scored a half century 50 runs off 45 balls while Ranjeet Thakur contributed 28 runs off 20 balls. For Army Public, Shaquib Hasan picked up 3/16 runs while Sourav Sharma took 2/35 runs.
In reply, Sourav Sharma 62 runs off 34 balls went in vain after Army Public scored 122 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 15 overs. For St. Nanak, Aman Barbose picked 3 wickets.
Third Match:
Arya Vidyalaya defeated St. Edmund’s by 6 wickets. Being put into bat, St. Edmunds scored 117 runs for the loss of one wicket. Nishanta Chakraborty and Kingshuk Das remained unbeated scoring 64 runs and 31 runs respectively. For Arya Vidyalaya, Binay Kumar took 1/16 runs.
In their chase, Arya Vidyala reached the target in 14.2 overs losing four wickets. Binay Kumar topscored with 74 runs off 52 balls. For St. Edmund’s, Nishanta Chakraborty and Kingshuk Das picked up one wicket each.
