SHILLONG: The April 2016 edition of the Rickshaw Run will conclude in Shillong on April 16. This peerless adventure has been organised by a UK travel outfit called The League of Adventurists with the April edition being one of its twenty third ventures.
The teams culminated in Jaisalmer where they had thirteen days to get from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan to Shillong with the aid of an auto-rickshaw. Each team raises £1000 for charity with half of this sum going to the rainforest preservation charity called Cool Earth.
Event Manager Matthew Dickens has been at the Rickshaw Run helm for six years and informed that the Rickshaw Run has risen over £2,000,000 (around $3.1 million).
