TURA: The residents of Siju and its adjoining areas had on April 12  urged the Chief Minister Mukul Sangma to allow for continuation of management of Siju PHC by the NGO Bakdil SIPSED, Tura.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, the residents sought his intervention.
In this regard, a public meeting was held at the premises of Siju PHC on April 4 and a unanimous decision was taken to ensure that Bakdil carries on with manning Siju PHC.
Siju residents also proposed that the equipment supposed to be received under MMU should be installed at PHC instead of MMU. Around 450 people signed the letter to express their decision in favour of management of Siju PHC by Bakdil.
