Dialogue
The Institute of Social Sciences, New Delhi, in collaboration with Heinrich Böll Foundation, Burma Centre, Delhi and Asian Confluence is organizing a two day India-Myanmar Media Dialogue on April 20 – 21 at Shillong. The objective of this dialogue is to bring Indian and Burmese media under one platform to strengthen relations and share their experiences and best practices.

Office bearers
The Shillong City Congress Committee in collaboration with Nongthymmai Block Congress Committee elected new office bearers of Nongthymmai Block Congress Committee. Charles Pyngrope was elected as chief adviser, Bawan Khyriem was named president, Teddy Kharshandi was appointed as general secretary while Kathleen Marbaniang was named treasurer, besides seven vice presidents. The meeting also commemorated the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
