SHILLONG: While Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee staged a protest on Monday against discrimination by the BJP-led government at the Centre, the former Chief Minister and UDP leader Donkupar Roy on Tuesday said that the Congress-led government in the state has discriminated the Opposition MLAs.
Roy said that the Congress has no reason to air their grievances on the issue of neglect by the Centre as the state government itself  should be blamed for discrimination in the state. “Look at my constituency, there are no development schemes granted to improve several areas by the state government”, lamented Roy who is also the Opposition Leader.
He also said that the same is the case with other Opposition legislators.
Roy pointed out that the state government should practice what it preaches before pointing fingers at others.
