Bangladeshi apprehended

SHILLONG: West Garo Hills Police apprehended a Bangladeshi national while he was trying to smuggle a motorcycle across the border on April 26.The motorcycle was detected at Gopagre forest in West Garo Hills at around 5 pm on April 26 and on seeing the police the accused sped away from the scene.After a chase the accused, identified as one Md. Momin Sheikh, a Bangladeshi national, was arrested by the police.
The pillion rider, however, managed to escape. During enquiry it transpired that the duo stole the motorcycle and were taking it to Bangladesh.
