Guwahati: Assam government will seek review of the Supreme Court’s judgement clearing the decks for holding the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in all
medical colleges in the country for the academic year 2016-17. In a statement here on Friday, Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi said the court directive for holding a single test for medical entrance might prove counter-productive for the students of Assam. Hence, the Government of Assam has decided to seek a review of the Supreme Court’s judgement on NEET. Chief Minister Gogoi also requested the Centre to take up the matter in the right earnest.
