NONGSTOIN: The 3rd Battalion of Meghalaya Police on Friday urged the Director General of Police (DGP) to address the matter related to its pending salaries and other issues.
Official sources from 3rd Battalion Headquarter in Jowai told The Shillong Times that the sorry state of affairs at the Headquarter had upset the whole battalion and adding to the misery waa the nonpayment of salaries.
They also alleged that there was no TA/DA for police personnel who went for operations and instead the same was provided to those policemen “who sat in the office doing nothing”.
The battalion has also urged the Home Minister to visit the Headquarter which was in shambles.
