RKM distributes garments to needy

SHILLONG: Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Kolkata, through its Ramakrishna Mission Ashram at Sohra once again organised an adult garment distribution programme on Saturday, this time for the poor and needy of Mylliem region. Like the preceding ones, the distribution programme was done in collaboration with ITC Limited (Headquarter at Kolkata), as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme of the latter.
The village headmen attending the programme came from the villages of Mylliem, Mylliem-kyndong, Khadarmer, Mawiang, Mawri, Rngi, Demthring, Pomkaniew etc.
Local MLA Ronnie V Lyngdoh, was the chief guest on the occasion.
Swami Anuraganandaji Maharaj inaugurated the programme by presenting garments to the two oldest members Subon Nongbri and Bradphod Syiemlieh respectively.
The local legislator appreciated the efforts of Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Sohra.
