Gujarat govt transfers 83 IAS officers

Ahmedabad: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, Gujarat government on Thursday transfered 83 IAS officers including the Collectors of Amreli, Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Kutch, Mehsana, Surat, Rajkot, Junagadh, Arvalli, Valsad and Narmada districts.
The General Administration Department in a notification said Ahmedabad Collector Raj Kumar Beniwal has been shifted to Industrial Extension Bureau (iNDEXTb) in Gandhinagar as the Managing Director, relieving Industries Commissioner Mamta Verma of the additional charge there.
Vadodara Collector Avantika Singh Aulakh has been appointed as the Collector of Ahmedabad district, while Mehsana Collector Lochan Sehra has been transferred as Vadodara Collector. Rahul Gupta, currently the Joint Secretary, Home, has been appointed as the Collector of Junagadh, replacing Alok Kumar Pandey, who has been appointed as the Mehsana Collector.
Bharuch Collector Vikrant Pandey has been made the Collector of Rajkot district, replacing Manisha Chandra, who has been appointed as the Director of ICDS with Women and Child Development Department in Gandhinagar.
Collector of Kutch district Mahendra Patel has been transferred as the Surat Collector, while Ardra Agrawal, currently the Collector of the Dangs district, has been transferred as the MD of Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Ltd in Surat. Additional Commissioner of Commercial Tax in Ahmedabad Shalini Agrawal has been transferred as the Arvalli Collector.
Banaskantha Collector Dilip Rana has been shifted to Amreli while Chhotaudepur Collector Jenu Devan has been moved to Banaskantha as Collector. Kheda district Collector K K Nirala has been transferred to Patan. He replaces Rajesh Manjhu, who has been appointed as the deputy municipal commissioner in Surat.
Gandhinagar Collector Ravi Shankar has been transferred as the Municipal Commissioner of Junagadh, while Narmada district Collector Sandip Sagale has been transferred as the Bharuch Collector, replacing Vikrant Pandey. Joint Chief Electoral Officer L A Padalia has been appointed as the Collector of Dahod, replacing M A Gandhi, who has been transferred to Kutch as Collector. (PTI)
