3 hurt as govt vehicle meets with accident

SHILLONG: A vehicle carrying election materials from Shillong to Ampati met with an accident leading to injury to three occupants.
The incident happened on Friday morning at about 6.15 AM, when government vehicle (ML-01-8907) transporting election materials from Shillong to Ampati met with an accident with one truck (ML-08-5437) at Sankarigre in West Garo Hills.
In the incident, three occupants – Joydeep Hajong (43), Saramen Hajong (21) and Cherita Hajong (20) – sustained minor injuries and were shifted to Tura Civil Hospital.
The election materials were later taken to Ampati by another vehicle in presence of the deputy commissioner and Addl. DC of South West Garo Hills.
