Lightning claims infant

SHILLONG: A five-month-old infant died after lighting struck a house in South West Khasi Hills on Saturday, a delayed report said on Monday. According to police, the tragedy struck the family of Aitimary Nongsiej, resident of Rangmaw village, when the lightning struck his house at around 6-30am. The baby Bijoy Nongsiej died instantly and the house was partially damaged.
