SHILLONG: Dukini Kyndiah, the only girl from Meghalaya who cleared the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination said that aspiring candidates who sit for their UPSC exams require support of family and friends to successfully pass the examinations.
Candidates get scared when they think about facing UPSC examinations, but they should not be scared and they should get all the support, “ Kyndiah said in an interview with The Shillong Times a day after she cleared the Civil Service Examination, the result of which was declared on Tuesday
Sharing her entire experience, Kyndiah said that initially, she was a little bit disappointed with her rankings, but added that she is happy now.
Kyndiah, daughter of Late Leader Laloo and Roimon Kyndiah from Jowai, however made it clear that   that she would once again sit for the examination even if she is allocated service.
“I will take which ever service is offered to me but I will reappear for better rank,” she said.
According to Kyndiah, UPSC exams are not tough but people need to work hard and sincerely to get  success.
She said that she used to prepare for exams from basic materials like NCERT books, newspapers and magazines since the main exam is all about being aware of the current topics and events.
Dukini had appeared for the UPSC examination in the years 2010 and 2011, but she made a serious attempt only in the year 2014 but luck did not favour her.
Kyndiah was a student of Pine Mount School and later moved to Pune for her B Com and then she did her M Com from NEHU.
