FIR filed over shoddy road construction

TURA: An FIR has been filed with the Officer in Charge of Dobasipara Police Outpost over the alleged shoddy repairing work being done on the section of the road between Baromile and Kherapara along NH-51.
Darwin Sangma, who filed the FIR, said that materials used for the repair like chips, metal etc., are of substandard quality. He also accused the concerned department, PWD-Roads, for failing to check the same.
Meanwhile, Sangma has requested that a joint enquiry by the concerned department and NGOs in the presence of police officials is conducted to book all those involved in the ‘scam’.
