Army officer inspects Military Hospital

SHILLONG: Lieutenant General M.K. Unni, Director General Medical Services (Army) and Colonel Commandant, visited Military Hospital Shillong and the ECHS Polyclinic on May 18 and interacted with the patients.
The officer lauded the efforts put in by the hospital for modernization of healthcare facilities, efficient biomedical waste management and a well trained paramedical staff.
Complimenting the good work done by Military Hospital & ECHS Polyclinic Shillong, in providing comprehensive health care facilities to troops, dependents and veterans, the officer called upon them to uphold the traditions of the Armed Forces Medical Services.   He also acknowledged support of local administration and medical institutions for rendering all assistance to the Military Hospital.
On the occasion, Dr. Jyothi Unni, wife of the General Officer, interacted with Pratibha S. Nawathe, Zonal President AWWA on welfare aspects and enhancement of health awareness among army wives.
