Shillong: Shillong Lajong FC celebrated the AFC Grassroots Day by organising the Grassroots Festival on May 15 in Polo Ground, Shillong.
The club has been conducting its own Grassroots Festivals in various localities in Shillong. The Club has received an overwhelming response which saw Lajong reaching out to more than 1000 Children last year in December 2015.
Lajong will continue it’s grassroots program under the directive of Head of Youth Development Coach, Gumpe Rime; Assistant Coach Alison Kharsyntiew; and the operations team of Shillong Lajong FC with the aim to help develop and nurture the skills of aspiring footballers.
