SHILLONG: One mentally unstable person allegedly attacked one person with an iron rod which led to his death
Manik Koch of Gandhipara village (WGH) lodged a complaint that on May 15 at about 2.30 pm, one mentally unstable person Ranakor Koch allegedly attacked Mohary Pipron Koch with an iron rod, causing grievous injuries to him.
Later, the person succumbed to his injuries.
It may be mentioned that last year, the High Court of Meghalaya had directed all the DCs as well as Senior SPs and SPs to ensure that no mentally challenged person is seen abandoned by his family or roaming about uncared in public places, or in other places inviting danger and causing inconvenience to public.
