CM should step down: BJP leader

SHILLONG: A BJP leader from Garo Hills and former Congress Minister K C Boro has said that Chief Minister Mukul Sangma should step down as he failed to ensure the victory of his own party candidate in the Tura by poll.Boro said over phone from Garo Hills on Thursday that the Congress was defeated in 23 Assembly constituencies, and the Chief Minister should take moral responsibility for this by quitting his post.
“The defeat of the Congress is like an earthquake and its tremor can further shake the party and the leaders in 2018,” Boro added.
