APS Shillong excels in CBSE Class XII exams

SHILLONG: Shining bright yet again, class XII students of Army Public School Shillong performed brilliantly in the All India Senior School Certificate Examination 2016 conducted by the CBSE, the result of which was declared on Saturday.
Out of 171 students who appeared the examination this year, 53 students scored 90% and above in aggregate.
“This year’s results have surpassed all previous records of the school,” said a school statement.
While Ithianghun Sana Mylliem Pdah topped the Science stream by scoring 96% marks in aggregate, Sohini Chakravarty secured second position by scoring 95.6 marks in aggregate and Isha Agrawal and Tanuj Chakraborty jointly secured the third position with 95.4% marks in aggregate.
In Humanities, Valentina Esther Kharbuli topped by scoring 96.8% marks in aggregate, Rizwana Ahmed secured second position with 96% marks and Sharanya Roy Choudhury secured third position with 95.6% marks in aggregate.
In Commerce stream, Anirban Kar topped by scoring 95.4% marks in aggregate, Yash Chamaria, Chirag Dudheria and Shireen Raphael Kharsynrap jointly secured second position by scoring 94.8% marks in aggregate and Rashi Singhania secured third position with 94.6%.
Besides this, several students from the school scored 100 marks in various subjects.
