Kerala man held with fake vehicle documents

SHILLONG: Police have arrested one person from the city and recovered fake vehicle documents from his possession on Friday last.
The accused Md. Ismail (alias Madras) of Ernakulam, Kerala, currently a resident Jingkieng Nongthymmai was arrested from DTO office Jowai following inputs.
During verification of the vehicle document found in his possession (AS-13F-0272) it was learnt that the accused was using the papers for a motorcycle for a Maruti Wagon-R.  Police suspect that the accused is involved in a stolen vehicle racket and that so far, he has manipulated the documents of 25-30 vehicles in DTO office, Jowai.
