SHILLONG: The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) youth wing on Tuesday apprised Power Minister Clement Marak on the delay by MeECL in announcing results of the interview for the post of jugali for which physical test and personal test were conducted in August-September,  2012.
Speaking to reporters, KHNAM youth wing president, Thomas Passah, said, “There is an unreasonable delay in appointments to the said posts and we have spoken to the MeECL chairman and secretary.
In April we met the Power minister and he gave an assurance that results will be declared within one month, but their silence paints a grim picture of the future of the eager candidates.”
“During our meeting with him today, he gave the recent elections as the reason for the delay and stressed that he will declare the results. We suggested putting up a deadline for the appointment dates,” he said.
The Power minister assured the two member delegation that he will convene a meeting of MeECL officials within a week.
