Two killed in road mishaps

SHILLONG: Two persons died in two separate road accidents across the State in the last couple of days.
An accident took place on May 22 at about 8 AM, when one truck (AS09 C 3972) broke down at Riatturim in West Jaintia Hills and while the driver and the handyman were repairing the vehicle, another truck (UP21 AN 4910) driven by Md. Herif dashed against the stationary truck.
In the accident Dimus Tariang, driver of the stationary truck sustained grievous injuries and died on the way to hospital.
Another accident took place on May 21 around 4:15 AM, when one truck (AS01 GC 7722) driven by Kajol Shabdakar (26) capsized at Umroi, Shillong Bypass, Ri-Bhoi.
In the incident, one Sanju Shabdakar, handyman of the truck died on the spot, while the driver sustained injuries and was shifted to hospital.
