TURA: A sixteen year old boy was abducted and murdered barely a day after he had successfully cleared the SSLC examinations 2016.
Teenager Joshibur Rahman, son of a school teacher, was abducted late Thursday evening from Horipur village of Rajabala.
A frantic search by his family led to the recovery of his lifeless body a little distance from his home. He was found strung to a tree with both hands and legs bound with plastic ropes.
“All efforts are being made to arrest the guilty. We are leaving no stone unturned and have even pressed into service sniffer dogs,” said West Garo Hills police chief Mukesh Singh.
Following the gruesome murder a sense of fear has engulfed the villagers who dare not venture out when darkness falls.
How and why such an innocent life was snuffed out at the prime of his teenage life remains a mystery so far.
