Agartala: Dissident Congress MLAs, led by former leader of the opposition Sudip Roy Barman, on Monday called on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata to convey their allegiance to Trinamool Congress. MLA Ashis Saha informed that they had a long discussion with Banerjee. She confirmed that in the third week of June Trinamool Congress will organise a mammoth rally in Agartala where leaders and supporters from Congress, CPI-M and BJP will join the party. “We have already assured that 7 of 10 Congress MLAs are with Roy Barman. There is no confusion over it and TMC will represent Tripura Legislative assembly by next couple of weeks,” Saha said. He, however, pointed out that except Banerjee, none can oust CPI-M from power.
