Kohima: The visiting Union Minister for Law and Justice D V Sadananda Gowda on Friday said, the present Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been touring to all nook and corner of the country since its formation.
Addressing a press conference at Raj Bhavan in Kohima on Friday Mr Gowda said the main motive of touring to different parts of the country and get interacted with various sections of the people was to know how far the new initiatives introduced by the present Government have been percolating down to the lowest stratum of the society, so that no one is deprived of their rights.
At the same time, to know their problems and grievances and also to take note of their suggestions if there is ways and means to be taken into consideration.
Mr Gowda also stressed the importance of Cooperative Federalism between the Centre and States, which he said was important for good governance and development.
While asking on development of the state, the Minister responded by saying “unless the state Government cooperates, no development can take place or carry forward” and also added that land related problems has always been a hindrance as far as development in the state is concerned. (UNI)
