SHILLONG: The North Star, a novel written by Naphirisa Kordor Tariang was released by Roshan Warjri, Home Minister at a function held at the Khasi National Dorbar Hall, Mawkhar recently.
The Home Minister congratulated Naphisara on her accomplishment to publish another book in the form of a novel in addition to the other two books of poems released in earlier. She also encouraged her to move forward in this field where she had already shown a lot of potential at such a young age.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Guha, Regional Director IGNOU lauded the author for her work and also encouraged other young writers to come forward and express themselves through literature.
The function was chaired by Dr. David Tariang was also attended WMS Pariat, Ex-Chief Secretary Government of Meghalaya, representative from the Khasi Author’s Society, Dr T.Kharbamon, from EFLU and many others. Naphisara is the daughter of Dr.B.P.S.Tio and  Esther Tariang.
