Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Kolkata, through its Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama at Cherrapunjee (Sohra) organised an adult garment distribution programme, the 15 phase in the series of its kind, on June 6 for the poor and the needy adults of Dalu, West Garo Hills.

The Tibetan Settlement Office has informed that the 81st Birthday celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be held in Shillong on July 6 and not June 6 as mentioned earlier.

The Department of Botany, Lady Keane College, Shillong organised an inter-college quiz competition on June 4 in observance of the World Environment Day. St Anthony’s College represented by Shuvam Nongrum and Appu Siga took home the winner’s trophy followed by St Edmund’s College represented by Anushri Paul and Jagamesa Ch. Momin in second place.
