One arrested in SWKH girl’s ‘suicide’ case

SHILLONG: Police have arrested one person in connection with the alleged suicide of an 18-year-old-girl at a village in South West Khasi Hills.
On Sunday, the body of the girl was found hanging from a tree in a forest at Sngilawiar near Mawsaw Mihngi village in South West Khasi Hills.
The arrested accused has been identified as Tekstarly Lyngkhoi  of  Mawsaw Mihngi.
West Khasi Hills SP Herbert Lyngdoh said that it is a suspected case of rape and murder and police is awaiting the postmortem report.
