SHILLONG: The employees of DMR check-gate at Umkiang in East Jaintia Hills are allegedly extorting money from trucks plying through the area.
Julius Nongtdu, president, HNYF, East Jaintia Hills, Ency Shadap, president, HANM, East Jaintia Hills and M. Biam, president, NEIPF jointly lodged a complaint that employees of DMR Check-gate at Umkiang (EJH) are extorting money from the trucks plying through the check-gate.
