Girl abducted
One Kadir Khan abducted one girl from Bholaganj under Shella police station in East Khasi Hills on Monday. Police are looking for the accused.
Molestation attempt
On June 5 at about 12 noon, one Dharvendra Mahata attempted to molest a 13-year-old girl at Nongrah, Shillong.
Impersonation
One person was illegally collecting money from a consumer by impersonating himself as MePDCL official. Chonmei Rani T Sangma, Executive Engineer, MePDCL, Tura lodged a complaint  that one Dilnang K Sangma has been illegally collecting money from one MePDCL consumer Biswanath Sarma at Jengjal, West Garo Hills by impersonating himself as an official.
Bid to rob bank
Miscreants made an unsuccessful attempt to rob Mawthawpdah Branch of  Meghalaya Rural Bank  in South West Khasi Hills on Sunday night.
 Woman harassed
Lisa M Chyne of Mawlai Kynton Massar lodged a complaint that on June 4 at around 5.30 pm, one Jujhar Singh harassed her while she was proceeding from Guwahati to Shillong by a Tata Sumo vehicle.
Suspected abduction
One person is suspected to have been abducted by unknown miscreants from Sutnga village in East Jaintia Hills. Md. Shahid Ahmed lodged a complaint that his brother Md. Hussain Ahmed (31) is missing from his residence at Sutnga village since May 16, 2016.  He suspected that unknown miscreants have abducted him.
Theft
On the night of June 4, unknown miscreant(s) stole three cell phones valued around Rs. 19,800/- from the labourer’s room of a newly constructed building at Hawakhana, Tura (WGH).
Extortion note served
One person has received an extortion note from one group claiming itself to be East Jaintia Examinary Army.  Shaining Langstang lodged a complaint that on June 3, he received one letter demanding Rs. 2 lakh from him by the outfit. He was also instructed to deposit the money in the bank account of one Lalring Vunga and was also threatened with dire consequences.
