UDP backs Paul to retain West Shillong seat

SHILLONG: The UDP will leave no stone unturned to ensure that its working president, Paul Lyngdoh retains power in West Shillong constituency.
During a meeting of the lower zone of the UDP’s West Shillong circle, party leader Embhahlang Syiemlieh urged the members to ensure that Lyngdoh retains the seat in 2018. Meanwhile, Lyngdoh, in his address, expressed gratitude to the members and sought their unstinted support in continuance of the journey to 2018.
The meeting also elected the new office bearers for the term 2016-2019.
While Lyngdoh was elected the chief adviser, Michael War was named the president.
