Nongstoin College jubilant over securing NAAC grade

NONGSTOIN: The Nongstoin College, Nongstoin on Wednesday organized a thanks giving programme for achieving Grade-B Plus from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council which cleared the result recently after their visit on March 31, 2016.
Shillong MP  Vincent H Pala  was the chief guest on the occasion.
MLAs, K.P.Pangniang  and D.Jyndiang, ex-students of the college were also present.  The Deputy Commissioner of West Khasi Hills, S.Kharlyngdoh who is also the President of the Governing Body of the College chaired the meeting.
Kharlyngdoh announced that  Nongstoin College will introduce both BSC and B Com courses in 2017.  Pala urged the people to have a positive mindset and  allow companies and investors to set up business ventures so that the students who pass out from the college can get jobs.
He announced that from the MP Scheme, he will sanction Rs 25 lakh for the construction of Science Laboratory of the College
