Truckload of timber seized by Garobadha NGOs

TURA: A consignment of logs from Garo Hills which was being illegally transported to Assam was seized by NGOs from Garobadha on Tuesday.
The NGOs comprising of GSU, AYWO and FKJGP intercepted a truck bearing registration number AS19C-4793 at Gandipara, three kms from Garobadha, South West Garo Hills and seized the consignment of logs. The logs were later handed over to the GHADC’s Forest Department.
